Keystone Catfishing April 8, 2007

Tiny's Guide Service

Fished with Gary and Kenneth Saunders today. What a great day this was! We had a good time but this day we caught the biggest channelcat I've ever seen come out of Keystone. I've caught one that was almost 18 lbs but this one beat it by several ounces and I'll probably never see another one this big again. That's how big it is compared to all other channels I've seen come outta Keystone since the bluecat were introduced here. 12 and 14 lbs channelcat were really big even before they put blues in Keystone so this one was something special to see ... when we got it in the boat ... I said ... THAT'S A DADBURNED CHANNELCAT! ... then I held up it's dorsil fin and said THAT'S A DADBURNED CHANNELCAT! and I still wasn't convinced and had to count the anal fin rays and the count was 25 and I said THAT'S A DADBURNED CHANNELCAT!!! Might not be a lake record or anything but it was really a good one.

Now at first glance this just looks like a really nice fish but if you look a little closer you'll see that it's a Channelcat. 18 lbs 5 oz and the biggest channelcat I've ever seen caught out of Keystone Lake. Nice job Kenneth!

Gary with a nice Blue

Kenneth with another nice blue.

18 fish today, probably around 130 lbs total.
