remove bearing from LH side plate above .. be sure to not lose the keeper that holds the bearing in place
remove star drag by turning counter clockwise
remove bearing from rh side plate
place bearings on a dowel or in a lid and clean real good with carb cleaner ... do this outside or in a well ventilated area ... carb cleaner will also burn your skin so don't get it on ya .. I'm just showin ya the steps here ... I put them in a lid to clean them then removed and placed on a paper towel ... doin this outside on the porch rail
clean the RH crank assembly with carb cleaner
this is the order in which the drag washers go back in ... lightly oil them b4 you put them back in
