Tiny's Guide Service

We went out today on a birthday trip for Clay and Phil's father Burle. Today's wind made it very difficult and we were restricted to fishing protected areas but we adapted and overcame adversity, by cracky! hahaha. It was a great trip considering the tough conditions with the wind supposed to be around 30 mph. I think it did every bit of that at times. We used cut shad today. due to some technical difficulties (old line) on one rod we lost a couple of pretty good fish. I didn't get any pictures of Marie with her fish ... Maybe Clay will email me some if they got a few. Marie is Tony's Mom and Burle's sister. the boat handled it okay but the motor was complaining some on the way in ... couldn't get on plane on the way back until we got right up in cowskin bay when the hull was emptied of the water we'd taken on due to the livewell overflowing. just about the time it pumped all the water out and we got out of the 30 mph winds and big waves it decided okay ... we'll go faster now hahaha. everyone got pretty wet coming back in due to the white capping waves we were nosing into. good thing it was pretty warm today else we'd have all been pretty miserable. we caught 19 total at an average of about 4 to 4.5 lbs each with the biggest fish at 7 lbs 13 oz.

Here's the birthday boy with one of his fish he caught today. He's 80 years young tomorrow ... congratulations Burle and I hope you had a good time.
